One of our wonderful assistants is relocating, and we’re excited to welcome a new\xa0Orthodontic Assistant\xa0to our team! We’re a modern, high-tech orthodontic practice in Carlsbad with an amazing staff and supportive leadership.

Schedule:\xa03 days per week, rotating Mon–Wed or Tue–Thu (8 AM–5 PM)

What You’ll Do

Ensure all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use
Take\xa0CBCT scans\xa0(no intraoral x-rays)
Take\xa0digital photographs\xa0of patients’ teeth for treatment planning and progress tracking
Use\xa0intraoral scanners and 3D printing\xa0for customized retainers and mouth guards (no traditional molds)
Assist the doctor with placing braces
Remove and replace wires, coil springs, donuts, and elastic bands
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and manage lab cases
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and braces aftercare
Provide excellent chairside support and patient comfort

What We’re Looking For

X-ray certification required
Orthodontic, general, or specialty dental assisting experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
