Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing clinical team. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional preventive and periodontal care, educating patients on long-term oral health, and contributing to a positive, collaborative office culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance therapy
- Conduct comprehensive periodontal evaluations and charting
- Take and review digital X-rays and intraoral images
- Apply preventive treatments including fluoride and sealants
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and risk factors
- Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning and case presentation
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and current clinical documentation
- Follow OSHA and infection control standards in instrument sterilization and operatory turnover
- Support an efficient schedule and a welcoming patient experience
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program (Associate's degree or higher)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Local anesthesia certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong clinical skills with attention to detail and patient comfort
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Experience with digital radiography and modern practice management software preferred
