Job Summary:
We are seeking hard working and motivated practice orthodontic lead to join our team. This role will involve training new staff, running columns, Invisalign clin checks, and help keep the clinic on time.
Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Take and develop dental x-rays and other medical imaging as directed by the orthodontist
- Perform dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records in Epic or similar software
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history
- Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with industry standards
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist with CAD/CAM processes for orthodontic appliances
Skills:
- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health terminology
- Experience in dental assisting, preferably in an orthodontic setting
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records in Epic or similar software
- Ability to perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history accurately
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Experience with CAD/CAM processes for orthodontic appliances is a plus
