Dental Assistant – Johnstown, NY

Dunning Family Dental is a trusted, patient-centered practice located in the heart of Johnstown, NY. Recently relocated to our new home at 310 Jansen Avenue, we proudly serve individuals and families throughout the community with comprehensive dental care. With an average 5-star patient rating, our team is known for professionalism, compassion, and clinical excellence. We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our growing team.

Schedule, Full Time

• Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare and break down operatories before and after procedures
• Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection control protocols
• Take dental radiographs in compliance with regulations
• Ensure patient comfort throughout treatment
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Dentrix
• Support efficient patient flow and team collaboration
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Dental Assistant experience preferred
• Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
