Orthodontic Assistant – Port Huron, MI

Our highly rated orthodontic practice in Port Huron, Michigan is looking for a talented and experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. Schedule
Monday – Thursday
One Saturday per month

Pay & Compensation
$18 – $25 per hour (based on experience)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use
• Take intraoral X-rays and photographs to assist the orthodontist with treatment planning and document patient progress
• Take dental molds and impressions for the fabrication of customized retainers, mouth guards, and other appliances
• Remove and replace wires, coil springs, donuts, and elastic bands as part of orthodontic treatment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and braces aftercare, helping them feel confident with their treatment
• Support the orthodontist during procedures to ensure smooth, efficient appointments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment for patients

Requirements

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Familiarity with orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Organized, dependable, and a team player
